An industry expert in securitization, secondary market operations and bond administration, Larry is currently the managing partner in Wilden Lane Holdings. Prior to Wilden Lane, he was a principal in BlackBox Logic, a consulting and product services company that specialized in providing mortgage loan data and inventory control solutions for buy and sell side firms that trade in mortgage backed securities. BBx Logic had a vast database of residential mortgages backing both conforming and non-conforming mortgage trusts; the company was sold to Moody's Analytics where they are currently supplying the data to industry professionals. Prior to BlackBox he was a managing director at Appix, where he was responsible for the fixed income trading practice products and services group. Appix was a premier provider of a sophisticated mortgage allocations and clearing system that interfaced with the FICC, DTCC, and the Federal Reserve’s N.Y. payment infrastructure.
He assisted Fidelity in designing and implementing the industry’s largest buy side prime broker network for mortgage backed securities. Prior to Appix, he spent 12 years at Fannie Mae where he was the officer in charge of secondary mortgage trading operations and trust/custody operations. He was, at various times, responsible for mortgage allocations, securities settlements, bond administration and securities accounting. At Fannie Mae, he was the leader of the operations departments that interfaced directly with the DTCC and the Federal Reserve. He was directly responsible for well over 20% of the volume flowing through the industry’s mortgage backed clearing and settlement functions. He served on various industry wide committees, including a founding member of SIFMA's asset managers forum, and helped redesign the trade settlement workflow that resulted in the major changes to the FICC’s mortgage backed processing. Prior to Fannie Mae he spent 10 years at Nomura Securities, where he ran the middle office systems groups for fixed income and equities. Larry holds an undergraduate degree in finance from SUNY at Albany and he did his graduate work in international economics at City University in N.Y. |
